Cookie Policy / Cookie Notice

Effective date: January 1, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how QCarder (owned by ASTROSIST Inc.) (“QCarder”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our websites, web apps, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

We use cookies to:

  • make the QCarder website and dashboard work properly,
  • remember your preferences,
  • understand how visitors use our Services, and
  • help us improve performance, security, and your overall experience.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Notice, which explains how we process personal data more generally. By continuing to browse or use our Services after seeing our cookie banner, you acknowledge that we may use cookies and similar technologies as described in this policy, subject to your preferences.

If you do not agree with the use of cookies in the ways described here, you can adjust your settings at any time (see Section 7 – Managing Your Cookie Preferences).

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, phone, or tablet when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owner. Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies – stored only for the duration of your visit and deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies – remain on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them.
  • First-party cookies – set by QCarder directly.
  • Third-party cookies – set by someone other than QCarder (for example, analytics or advertising providers).

We may also use similar technologies, such as:
  • Pixel tags / web beacons – tiny graphics or code snippets that track usage and help us understand how you interact with our emails or pages.
  • Local storage and session storage – technologies that allow data to be stored locally in your browser or device for performance and preference purposes.
  • SDKs and tracking scripts – code embedded in our app or website that helps us measure usage and improve functionality.

For simplicity, we refer to all of these technologies together as “cookies” in this Cookie Policy.

2. How QCarder Uses Cookies

We use cookies on QCarder for several purposes:

  • To operate our Services
    • Enable core features such as secure login, session management, shopping cart/checkout for NFC products, and account settings.
    • Keep you signed in as you move between pages.
  • To remember your preferences
    • Store choices such as language, region, cookie consent selections, and display settings so you don’t have to set them every time you visit.
  • To measure performance and improve QCarder
    • Understand how visitors find and use our website and dashboard.
    • Analyze which pages or features are used most, where users experience errors, and how we can improve speed, navigation, and usability.
  • To support customer service and communication
    • Help us respond to support requests, provide in-app messages or product tours, and understand how users interact with help content.
  • To support marketing and advertising (where permitted)
    • Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
    • Show relevant QCarder ads on other websites or platforms, and avoid showing you the same ad too many times.

We do not use cookies to sell your personal information, and we do not allow third parties to place cookies on our Services for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent where required by law.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the operation of our Services and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set only in response to actions you take, such as:

  • logging into your account,
  • setting your privacy preferences,
  • filling in forms, or
  • using secure areas of the dashboard or checkout.

Without these cookies, the Services (including your QCarder account and any purchases of NFC products) may not function properly.
3.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use QCarder, so we can measure and improve performance. For example, they may:
  • collect information about which pages are visited most often,
  • help us see how users move around the site,
  • identify where users encounter errors or broken links.

We typically use trusted analytics providers to set these cookies. Where required by law, we will only use these cookies with your consent.
3.3 Functionality Cookies
These cookies allow us to provide enhanced functionality and personalization, such as:
  • remembering your login state between sessions,
  • storing your language or region,
  • remembering your preferences for layouts or views.

If you disable these cookies, some or all of these features may not work as intended.
3.4 Advertising and Targeting Cookies
Where permitted by law and with your consent, we may use advertising or targeting cookies to:
  • show QCarder ads on other websites or platforms that are more relevant to your interests,
  • measure the effectiveness of our campaigns,
  • limit how often you see a particular ad.

These cookies are usually set by third-party advertising partners and may be used to build a profile of your interests based on your browsing activity. If you opt out of these cookies, you may still see ads, but they will be less tailored to you.
3.5 Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on QCarder are placed by third parties that provide services to us, such as:
  • analytics and performance tools,
  • payment processors,
  • customer support and live chat tools,
  • embedded content from other platforms.

These third parties may use cookies in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to review those policies separately.

4. Cookies Used on QCarder (Examples)

The specific cookies we use may change over time as we improve our Services, but they generally fall into the categories described above. Below are examples of the types of cookies that may be set when you use QCarder:

5. Legal Basis for Using Cookies (EEA/UK/Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our use of cookies that involve the processing of personal data is based on the following legal grounds:

  • Strictly necessary cookies
  • We use these cookies based on our legitimate interest (and, where applicable, to perform a contract with you) in providing a secure, functional website and Service. These cookies are essential and do not require your consent.
  • Performance and analytics cookies
  • We use these cookies only with your consent, which you can give via our cookie banner or preference tools. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Managing Your Cookie Preferences).
  • Functionality cookies
  • Where these cookies involve personal data beyond what is strictly necessary, we rely on your consent or, in some cases, our legitimate interest in offering a better, more personalized experience.
  • Advertising and targeting cookies
  • We use these cookies only with your explicit consent. If you do not consent, these cookies will not be set, and you may still see ads—just not tailored based on QCarder’s cookies.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using our cookie settings or by adjusting your browser settings, as described below.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options to control how cookies are used on QCarder.
6.1 Cookie Banner & Preference Center
When you first visit QCarder, you may see a cookie banner or notice that:

  • explains the types of cookies we use; and
  • allows you to accept all, reject non-essential, or customize your cookie settings.

Where available, you can reopen the cookie settings (for example, via a “Cookie Settings” or “Privacy Settings” link in the footer) to change your choices at any time. Your updated preferences will apply to future visits from that browser and device.
6.2 Browser Settings and Blocking Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to:
  • view which cookies are stored on your device,
  • delete cookies, and
  • block or limit cookies from specific websites or all websites.

You can usually find these options in your browser’s “Settings”, “Options”, or “Privacy” menu.

Please note:
  • If you block all cookies, some parts of QCarder (including login, checkout, and certain features) may not work properly.
  • If you delete cookies, your preferences (including cookie choices) may be lost and need to be set again.

6.3 Opt-Out from Analytics and Advertising Partners
Some third-party analytics and advertising providers offer their own opt-out tools. Depending on which services we use, you may be able to opt out of certain tracking via:
  • provider-specific opt-out pages (for example, analytics or ad networks);
  • industry opt-out pages (for example, preferences for interest-based ads where available).

These options are controlled by third parties, so we cannot guarantee their availability or effectiveness, but we encourage you to review their privacy and cookie settings if you want more granular control.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Controls

Some browsers and browser extensions offer features such as “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

At this time:

  • The QCarder Services do not respond to all DNT signals, because there is currently no common industry standard for interpreting them.
  • Where required by law, we will treat valid GPC or similar signals as a request to opt out of certain types of tracking or targeted advertising cookies, to the extent technically feasible and applicable to our setup.

You can still manage cookies directly via our cookie banner / settings and your browser settings, as described above.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect:

  • changes in the cookies we use,
  • changes in the Services or our technology, or
  • changes in applicable laws or regulatory guidance.

When we make changes:
  • we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page; and
  • where appropriate, we may provide additional notice (for example, via a banner or notification on our website).

Your continued use of QCarder after any changes have been posted means you acknowledge the updated Cookie Policy, subject to your current cookie preferences.
